Chuys began in 2008 as a small family kitchen in Orlando, FL — a dream born from a love of bold, authentic flavors and a belief that great food brings people together. What started with a handful of loyal regulars quickly grew into one of the most beloved dining destinations in the area.
The name "Chuys" reflects our roots — a nod to the spirited, welcoming culture that inspires every dish we create. From our signature slow-cooked proteins to our hand-crafted sauces, every element on the menu is a labor of love. We source fresh, locally grown ingredients whenever possible, ensuring every bite is as wholesome as it is delicious.
Today, Chuys serves hundreds of guests daily at our 6688 S Semoran Blvd location. Whether you're dining in, picking up, or ordering online, we bring the same warmth and quality to every single plate.

Chuys opens its doors for the first time at a small storefront in Orlando. Founder Marco Reyes starts with a menu of 12 core dishes, all inspired by family recipes passed down through generations.
After overwhelming demand, Chuys expands its menu to 30+ items including its now-iconic slow-roasted proteins and handcrafted sauces. Weekend lines start forming outside the door.
Chuys relocates to our current home at 6688 S Semoran Blvd — a larger, purpose-built space designed for both dine-in comfort and efficient takeout service. Catering services launch.
Chuys wins the Orlando Dining Excellence Award for three consecutive years, earning recognition as one of the city's top independent restaurants. Our team grows to 30 dedicated staff members.
Amid global challenges, Chuys pivots swiftly to launch online ordering, contactless delivery, and family meal kits — keeping the community fed and spirits high during difficult times.
